The European project GREEN begins its activity

European project GREEN GReening business through the Enterprise Europe Network implemented by the Foundation for Management and Industrial Research begins its activity.


The project tends towards the environmental aspect of the food and building materials sectors where more than 310 000 companies and over 4million employees are involved at European level. It aims at contributing to the improvement of environmental performances of SMEs in Europe and supporting the Enterprise Europe Network in tackling environmental issues in the two specific economic sectors. GREEN proposes a network of local systems to coordinate Environmental Service Providers (ESPs) in order to give SMEs access to free and low cost environmental services thanks also to the support of local administrations, SMEs associations and relevant value chain stakeholders.

The project activities foresees a survey of public and private environmental measures in support of SMEs in the two sectors, two databases of Environmental Service Providers and potential beneficiaries of environmental services (SMEs), as well as several training sessions and local workshops.
The project consortium that will develop the GREEN project is lead by Unioncamere Veneto and consists of eleven partners made up of research centres and chambers of commerce and industry from Italy, Romania, Greece, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Montenegro, Serbia, Macedonia, Turkey and Croatia, all of them members of the Enterprise Europe Network.

Participation in the expert group Intelligent Energy

Foundation for Management and Industrial Research as a representative of EIICM is participating in the Sector Group – Intelligent Energy of Enterprise Europe Network. In the scope of Enterprise Europe Network there is a Sector Group – Intelligent Energy (IE) which represents an expert platform in the field of renewable and conventional energy. For the clients, the members of the Sector Group IE are offering support, contacts and information on finding partner for business or technological cooperation throughout Europe. 

The Sector Group is providing the services typical for the Network, but with increased focus on establishing successful cooperation for transfer of innovative technologies and joint research projects in the field of energy.

The Sector Group IE is aiming to created added value for its clients through development of projects, organization of common events with the sector groups of the Network, as well as to build partnerships with existing EU initiatives in the field such as: European Technology Platforms (ETPs), Europe INNOVA initiative, European research clusters, EREC – European Renewable Energy Council, different European energy agencies and others. The final objective is supporting the growing market of renewable energies.
