Sector group on Woman Entrepreneurship (WEG) within Enterprise Europe Network

New, horizontal sector group on Woman Entrepreneurship (WEG) has been launched within the Enterprise Europe Network as from the beginning of 2013. The group has 30 members from 15 European countries, including a representative from Macedonia, from the Foundation for Management and Industrial Research.

First meeting of WEG has been held on 18th March 2013 in the premises of Unioncamere of Italy in Rome. The aim of this inauguration meeting was to set the roadmap for the development of the group as well as to discuss the possible means of cooperation with other sector groups within the Network. High representatives from DG Enterprise and Industry of the European Commission were also present at the meeting, highlighting the need for increased utilization of the economic potential of

WEG focuses on woman entrepreneurship from economic rather than gender point of view. It aims to better streamline the services of the Enterprise Europe Network to help the development of women led business through increased competitiveness, innovativeness and internationalization.

R&D Interactive Map

ENVIMPACT and PROCEED are mapping and assessing CEE research results in the field of environment, will collect and select research results and research projects originating from the CEE project partner countries (including R. Macedonia) in the areas of air pollution, chemical pollution and environmental technologies.


The collected results are included in an online database.

New professional social network for researchers

Organisations from 15 European countries are developing a new social network (PROCEED RSN – Research Social Network) for the researchers and companies from these countries to exchange ideas, develop joint projects and reach different types of business and technological cooperation.

Inauguration of the national network of mentors

Launching of the national network of mentors a part  of the European Network of Mentors for Women Entrepreneurswas held in the restaurant Puzhe, Sv. Nikole, where the European dimension of the project and the Macedonian tradition were connected.

The official start of the mentor-mentoree relationships was marked by the granting of certificates from the European Commission to the mentors from Macedonia and the signing of the confidentiality agreements between the  mentors and mentorees. We wish them a fruitful and successful work.

The European Network of Mentors for Women Entrepreneurs has been inaugurated in Warsaw, Poland under a Polish Presidency event on 15 November 2011.

New project: European Network of Mentors for Women Entrepreneurs in Macedonia (new-MENTOR)

new_mentor-LOGO_greyThe Foundation for Management and industrial research, in consortium with four partner organizations from Macedonia (Foundation Business Start – Up centre Bitola, National Centre for Development of Innovation and Entrepreneurial Learning, Foundation Euro Center, Sv. Nikole and Agency for Promotion of the Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Macedonia), started with the implementation of the project European Network of Mentors for Women Entrepreneurs in Macedonia (new-MENTOR).  The new-MENTOR project focuses on the setting up of a national network of mentors for women entrepreneurs in Macedonia aimed towards supporting the female entrepreneurship development and ensuring that newly-established women entrepreneurs can sustain their activity throughout the first years of their businesses.  Strategic objective of the project is to support the development of female entrepreneurship in the country taking into account the distinctive nature of women-led businesses. The project is targeted to support the women entrepreneurs through the national network of mentors as a part of the European Network of Mentors for Women Entrepreneurs.

New-MENTOR project is financed by the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP) of the European Commission. Its duration is two years, until September 2013.
